In 2016, our team was hired by Brookstone to create a 90-second ad promoting the Citybug 2 Electric Scooter. The brand’s familiarity with our work for Vat19 afforded our team nearly complete creative control over the project. Brookstone entrusted our three-person crew to write, storyboard, shoot, act, and edit the entire spot.

The Approach

A good hook makes viewers want to stick around. Drawing on our experience at Vat19, the CityBug2 commercial’s “cold open” is a quirky scene that actually pokes fun at Brookstone itself – which is somewhat known for its many massage products.
